For parents

Help with chemistry without having to know any chemistry

You can see that revision is not going well and you cannot tell whether the problem is bonding or effort. This gives your child structured practice with full worked answers, so they can find their own gaps - and gives you something to point at.

Practice, and the answers behind it
Every practice set comes with a full worked solution, so marking does not depend on you knowing the chemistry.

Why parents subscribe

Structure, without you becoming the teacher

The two things that go wrong with revision at home are that nobody knows what to work on, and nobody can tell whether it was right.

  • They can mark their own work

Worked answers come with every practice set. Your child checks their own working against the method - you do not need to remember any of this to help.

  • The same specification as school

Mapped to GCSE, iGCSE, AS and A Level across AQA, Edexcel, OCR and CIE, so home revision reinforces the lessons rather than confusing them.

  • You can see what has been covered

Everything is organised by topic, so "I've done chemistry" becomes a list of specific topics with specific gaps.

  • Written by a chemistry teacher

Not generated, not scraped from a forum. The questions, the wrong answers and the mark schemes come from someone who teaches this and marks it.

  • Cheaper than another tutoring hour

A subscription costs a fraction of what an hour of tutoring does, and it does not run out at the end of the hour. See the plans on the pricing page.

  • Short sessions are fine

Rapid recall is fifteen questions - a realistic amount of revision on a school night, with the answers to check against.

In practice

What a fortnight at home can look like

You are not running the revision. You are making it possible to run.

  • Find out where they are

A misconception set on a topic they have just covered shows what has actually stuck, rather than what they say has stuck.

  • Give it a shape

One topic worksheet, done properly with the answers put away, beats an evening of highlighting. Fifteen minutes of recall on the other nights.

  • Let them mark it

They mark against the worked answers and keep what they got wrong. That list is what next week's revision is, and it comes from them - not from you asking.

What parents ask

Do I need to understand the chemistry?
No. That is the point of the answer packs - the working is spelled out for your child, not for you. Your job is making sure it gets opened.
Is this instead of a tutor?
It can be, and it is a great deal cheaper. It also works alongside one - plenty of tutors set these as the work between sessions, which makes the paid hour go further.
Which level should I choose?
You do not choose. One subscription includes every level and every topic, so if your child is sitting GCSE this year and A Level in two, nothing needs changing.
